Bossypants is the story of Tina Fey in her early days before fame and fortune. It presents the different events and stories in her life from when she was very young to her famous days on Saturday Night Live. She also describes her life with her family, as a mother, actress, and producer. Everything is lived and experienced helped her become the woman she is today.

This humoristic book is written in memoir style. It includes lots of figurative language to communicate her lessons. I love that it shows that dreams do come true. The vocabulary and word choice she uses add to the funny scenes she describes. This would be a great book for reluctant readers especially because the author is well know for her movies.
