Summary: Jess Aarons lives on a farm. One day, his new
neighbor, Leslie, beats him in a running race that he had worked so hard for.
From then on, they become very close friends and create a magical world, which
is Terabithia. Jess is the king and Leslie the queen. Unfortunately, Leslie
suddenly dies leaving Jess alone trying to figure out how to continue with what
they both had started.
Review: My fourth grade students loved this book.
Most of them were crying towards the end. Make sure you have a box of tissues
around. It’s a great book that makes you visualize what is happening. Students
were excited to watch the movie after.
