The Nest

Oppel, K. (2015).   Nest.  NY: Simon & Schuster.

Summary: Steve’s new baby brother was born with a congenital disorder and may not survive. Everyone at home is having a hard time coping with this, especially Steve. He starts having intense and disturbing dreams of someone or something standing at the end of his bed. They become nightmares when a mysterious wasp queen offers to fix the baby.

Review: This is a novel that middle school students will enjoy reading, elementary students, not so much. It is a bit crrepy, and has strong topics that parents might not like for their children to read just yet.
