Oh No, Gotta Go!

Elya, S. M., & Karas, G. B. (2006). Oh no, gotta go! New York: Puffin Books.

Summary: A little girl is traveling with her parents in their car and all of a sudden she has to go to the bathroom. It is Sunday and everything around them is closed. They ask a man for help in finding the closest bathroom in the area and they finally get to a restaurant. As they walk in they notice the tremendously long line there is. The little girl cannot wait, so they decide to go to the very front. As they are walking out, her dad surprises them by telling them they will be staying there to enjoy a meal together.

Review: This is a wonderful bilingual book that is in the form of a poem. There is a glossary of Spanish words in the back of the book, but as the story is read, the meanings of the Spanish words are very clear. The illustrations are cute, colorful, and a lot of fun.
