Summary: Caterina is
a little owl that wants to make enough money to buy a new scooter. She comes up
with the idea that a lemonade stand will help her raise the money she needs.
She soon realizes that there are others that are doing the same thing as her,
so she needs to make sure that somehow she stands out. She succeeds by making
her lemonade stand as unique as possible. Caterina raises the money she needs
and buys the scooter she wanted.
Review: This is an
excellent book for the lower grades. The illustrations have wonderful details
that make this book a great one to read aloud. It’s an outstanding source to
use to motivate students to be creative and unique.
