Summary: Josh bell is a 13-year old that loves his
family and basketball. His twin brother J.B. loves the sport too. They spend a
lot of time together until one day J.B. falls in love. That’s when the problem
begins because Josh realizes that he doesn’t like to be alone. He lets all his
anger out playing basketball and the game changes forever. The brothers stop
talking to each other and it doesn’t get any better when they come to find out
that their father’s health is not the best.
Review: This is
a very catchy novel that middle school students will be hooked on. It is
presented in poetic form and involves basketball, change, and the importance of
family. There were many things going on in this terrific story, between the
family interactions, the brothers growing older and at the same time a little
apart with the stresses of a new girlfriend, and simply maturing.
