Summary: Nancy’s
class is going on a field trip to the planetarium. She is extremely excited
because she loves stars and how they shine brightly at night. She can even name
the constellations. They are meeting late at night at the planetarium but on
their way there it begins to rain. The roads shut down and they don’t make it.
They return home and her family decides to set up chairs outside and look at
the starts all together. The next day at school, the class finds out that their
field trip has been rescheduled.
Review: This story is a great way to start a science lesson. It has
great vocabulary that students in first and second grade will immediately grasp.
They will definitely love to learn about stars and the solar system through
Fancy Nancy.
