Summary: Pig is
writing a thank you letter to his grandmother thanking her for a sweater she
gave him. Rabbit comes over and invites him to play baseball, but pig says he
can’t go until he finishes writing the letter. Rabbit decides to write a letter
too and then another and another. During all this time, he keeps on
interrupting Pig asking him for paper, envelopes, and stamps and he can’t
manage to finish writing the letter for his grandma. Rabbit ends up writing ten
letters and fortunately, Rabbit’s last letter was for Pig, reminding him how
lucky he was to have him as a friend.
ReviewThis book
can be appropriate for a third or fourth grade classroom. It can be a great way
to introduce how to write a letter. Being grateful can also be taught through
his beautifully written book. Rabbit shows that you can be grateful to many
people for the most minimum thing.
