Summary: Christopher
decides to play a small trick on both his parents. He creates cookies that are
made out of clay and has them bite into them. They are both surprised to find
out that it is simply a trick. He enjoys seeing them disgusted because he knows
his idea worked as planned. His parents decide to call his teacher and tell her
what he has been doing. She comes up with the idea to do the same thing to him.
When he gets to school he sees a giant cookie and immediately bites into it.
That’s when he realizes he had done wrong.
Review: This book can be read to students in the lower grades to
teach them that we should not do things that we wouldn’t like for others to do
to us. It is not good to play around and prank others because sometimes they
can really get hurt. The onomatopoeia used is excellent.
