Johnson, A., & Soman, D. (1993). When I am old with you. New York: Orchard Books.
Summary: A young boy
who adores his grandfather is imagining all the things they would do if they
grew old together. He talks about all
the different activities such as fishing, sitting on the
porch, visiting people, taking walks, riding a tractor or simply looking at old pictures.
Review: This story
is very sweet and would be perfect to read to kindergarten students. It
definitely highlights the bond between a grandfather and his grandson and
teaches children to cherish every moment you have with your loved ones.
