Frida by Yuyi Morales is a spectacular book with Frida Kahlo
portrayed throughout the book, while introducing words in both Spanish and
English. It tells the story of a young woman whose life was so intense but
never stops searching, exploring, loving, creating, and living! The
illustrations are bold, vibrant, and animated.
Review: Children will enjoy looking at the wonderful illustrations
that look so real. Nevertheless, I believe it can be a little unclear if not
explained. The lack of words may confuse the children because they would need
to use the illustrations to get a deeper meaning.
