Summary: An African-American
girl named Sophie lives with mama, daddy, and grandpa. Every day as she leaves
to school, he is there sitting on his wheelchair by the window waving goodbye
to her. When she returns, he is always ready to play a hide-and-seek game with her.
Grandpa always pretends to have lost something and asks Sophie to find it for
him. Of course, the items are always on plain sight.
Review: It is a beautiful, heartwarming family story, perfect to read
before bed. I love the sweetness you can see, as Grandpa and Sophie play
everyday after school. This book shows how children can bond with their
grandparents and can enjoy each other no matter their age or disability.
